คณะละคร 8X8

ในปี พ.ศ.2541 คณะละครแปดคูณแปด รวมตัวขึ้นจากคนทำละครที่มีใจรักละครเวที และเคยทำงานร่วมกันมานานแต่เป็นการทำงานในนามผลงานของกลุ่มละครอื่นๆ ทั้งในฐานะ นักแสดง,ผู้เขียนบท ผู้กำกับเวที และผู้กำกับการแสดง

การรวมตัวกันครั้งนั้นมีจุดประสงค์เพื่อผลิตผลงานที่เป็นของตนเอง โดยมีแนวคิดหลักที่ต้องการนำเสนอละครเวทีที่มีความเกี่ยวพันกับสังคมปัจจุบัน และเพื่อสร้างสรรค์ผลงานทางศิลปะที่เกี่ยวกับการแสดง บนความเชื่อที่ว่า กระบวนการสร้างและกระบวนการเสพละครเวทีจะสามารถพัฒนามนุษย์ ให้เกิดความเข้าใจและรู้จักตนเอง และปรับเปลี่ยนมุมมองในการเห็นผู้อื่นในสังคมในฐานะเพื่อนมนุษย์

The 8x8 Theatre Group
The 8x8 Theatre Group was founded in 1998
by the theatre makers who have worked together
for years but on behalf of other theatre groups as actors,
playwrights, stage and theatrical directors.
The aim of this ‘get together' is to present their
own performing art, particularly concerning the current
social issues and the creativity of performing arts.
Presently, the 8x8 Theatre Group is run by Nikorn Tang.
The members always join the productions depending upon
their individual interest and competence.
This is the way of working for mutual
learning and experience exchange that
fosters the theatrical development,
capability and initiatives.
